VPN - has become a common and sometimes overused term to describe how Service Providers like WMIS supply connectivity between corporate offices. A VPN means that corporate traffic could possibly ride over the public Internet. Because of this, special encryption hardware and firewalls at each location are required to keep your valuable information private. WMIS can implement VPN solutions using ISDN, Frame Relay, T1 capacity in many cities through Michigan. Leveraging the WMIS Internet network can save your company time and money over building point-to-point circuits on your own.

PN - or Private Networks (yes we mean PRIVATE networks) is something you DON'T hear about from other service providers. A Private network means special encryption hardware or firewalls at each location are not needed. WMIS can implement a private network for your company, often at a much lower cost than directly from one of the Telco suppliers.

Why? Because we have extensive network with significant capacity. A Private Network with Frame Relay, T1s, or DSL circuits. We can coordinate and mix all these technologies through our switching equipment to supply you with direct links between locations where your traffic is 100% guaranteed NOT to run over a public TCP/IP network.

Bandwidth Allocation Manager (BAMBAM)
BAMBAM is a scalable cost-saving technology that can be applied to copper, fiber or wireless circuits. It guarantees a specified CIRbut provisions additional bandwidth to accommodate unexpected, variable or expanding demand. QoS is guaranteed because BAMBAM is burstable and because the circuit is not oversubscribed.

As an organization’s bandwidth needs grow or fluctuate, BAMBAM can be re-specified to accommodate the additional capacity needed.

Pricing upon request, pricing for BAMBAM is included in a quote for fiber, copper or wireless circuit.

Pro-active Monitoring
WMIS maintains MRTG graphing and pro-active "ping" monitoring of dedicated connections. If your router or circuit goes down, chances are we'll know it before you do. Our support technicians are notified within 5 minutes of a failure. They are notified by email, pager, and NexTel notifications.

WMIS requires each dedicated customer to supply us with a list of contacts that we can call when we see a failure. If you are anticipating maintenance on your network, we would appreciate a heads up in advance.
